Password Check
The Password Check tests if a password is secure or not. It can only give you a feeling of security, however: complete security is not possible on the internet.
The result will indicate how long it would take for a hacker to hack your password on a normal PC.
Tips for secure passwords
Your password should be at least eight characters long. Use both capital and lower case letters. It should also contain special characters and numbers. Do not use words that can be found in a dictionary. Do not use personal information such as your name or date of birth. Change your password on a regular basis.
A good system is to have a "password sentence". For example, "My father has been wearing ties since 1974" can be used to remember the following password: "Mfhbwts1974". Another example: "Aunt Deirdre’s favourite number of all is 9" can be used to remember "ADfnoai9".
